The ALS series of functional Microprocessor modules are designed to be used in a modular card system based on a 64 pin EURO connector interconnection bus (the EUROCON BUS). The bus signals are terminated in rows 'a' and 'c' of the euroconnector. Unless otherwise specified the card size is 100 X 160mm.

CPU CARDS

B-201 8085 CPU CARD

CPU operates at 3.072MHz.Buffered Address, Data and Control signals. Upto 64K of memory (32K ROM and 32K RAM). Processor specific signals are terminated in a 6 pin reliamate. 24 I/O lines using 8255, terminated in a 2 X 13 pin bergstick. Three 16 bit counter/timer using 8253. One of the timer can be used to implement watch dog timer function. RS232C serial channel using 8251 with drivers and receivers. Autoreset logic, Oncard Battery backup provision for RAM.

 

B-30 8031 CPU CARD

CPU operates at 11.0592MHz. Buffered Address, Data and Control signals. Provision for 64K of oncard program memory. Provision for 32K of on card Data memory with battery back-up. Memory configurable as program/data memory during development. RS232C interface using on chip UART and two port lines for handshake. 24 I/O lines using 8255.12 I/O lines port lines P1.0 to P1.7 and P3.2 to P3.5 terminated in a reliamate connector at the rear.

B-33 80C196 CPU CARD

CPU Operating at 12MHz in 8 bit mode. Buffered Address, Data and Control signals. Provision for 32K RAM and 32K Monitor ROM with Battery Backup for RAM. RS232C interface using USART 8251A. Programmable timer (8253). Port 0, 1, 2 High speed I/O, on-chip serial lines of processor are terminated in 40 pin male connector.

B-203 MULTI I/O CARD

24 Parallel I/O lines using 8255. Keyboard/Display controller (8279). Three 16-bit counter/timer (8253). RS-232C / RS-422 /20mA interface using 8251. REAL TIME CLOCK function using 5832. Centronix Printer Interface using BUSY and STROBE signal only. The signals from different peripherals are terminated in suitable connectors.

B-303 I/O CARD

24 Parallel I/O lines using 8255. Keyboard/Display controller (8279). Three 16-bit counter/timer (8253). RS-232C interface using 8251. The signals from different peripherals are terminated in suitable connectors.

12 bit dual slope ADC and two 8 bit DAC's. ADC input voltage range is +/-4.096 volts or +/-0.4096 volts. DAC outputs are either 0 to +5V or -5V to +5V.

B-29 MULTI CHANNEL HIGH SPEED ADC CARD

16 single ended/8 differential input channels with sample and hold circuit. 12 bit A/D conversion facility with 25 micro sec conversion time using AD574A.

B-31 QUAD CHANNEL 12 BIT DAC CARD

Four, 12 bit DACs using industry standard DAC 1220/AD/7521. Unipolar (0 to 10V) and Bipolar (+/-10V) outputs selectable through jumpers. 3 Microseconds settling time for full scale change in the DAC I/P. Optional piggy back card provides four voltage to 0-20mA current converters. Output signals terminated in 25 pin D type connector.

B-32 16 BIT ADC/DAC CARD

16 Bit A/D conversion facility with 15 micro sec conversion time using AD7809. 16 single ended or 8 differential input channels with sample and hold circuit. Input voltage range 0 to 5V; +/-5V, 0 to 10V, +/-10V. Accuracy +/-4LSB, Gain and offset trim provided. 16 bit DAC using DAC 712. O/P voltage range of +/-10V. Optional provision for Instrumentation Amplifier – INA 101.

KEYBOARD AND DISPLAY CARD

Consists of eight nos. of seven segment displays and 32 nos. of Computer Grade keys. Provision for membrane type of keys. Connects to the 8279 in the ALS-B-203 card through a flexible flat cable assembly.

B-27 24 CHANNEL OPTO ISOLATED OUTPUT CARD

Provides 12 Opto isolated output transistors with common emitters. Collectors are terminated in a FRC header with protection diodes. Maximum current into each collector=75mA. V+max = 30V. 12 Opto-isolated output transistor allowing supply referred or ground referred loads to be driven. Collectors and Emitters are separately terminated in an FRC header.

B-28 8 CHANNEL OPTO ISOLATED TRANSISTOR OUTPUT CARD

Provides 8 opto-isolated transistor output channels using high speed switching darlington transistors with max. 0.8amps, 80V rating with appropriate heat sinks. Termination in 26 pin header.

Interfaces upto sixteen 24VDC (optional 48VDC) signals from contact closures, to the ALS EURO CARD system. Status LED's are provided for the channels and are terminated in a 26 pin header.

Interfaces upto twenty four 24VDC (optional 48VDC) signals from contact closures, to the ALS euro card system. Status LED's are provided for the channels and are terminated in a 25 pin header.

RELAY OUTPUT CARD

B-13 8 CHANNEL RELAY OUTPUT CARD

Provides 8 isolated switches, that can handle upto 100V at 0.2amps (NO) or 28V at 0.2 amps (C/O).

B-25 16 CHANNEL RELAY O/P CARD

Sixteen Channel Relay contacts, that can handle upto 100volts at 0.2Amps (NO). Relay contact connections are made through a 34 pin protected header at the rear.

B-113 8 CHANNEL OPTO I/P and RELAY OUTPUT CARD

Provides eight opto isolated I/P channels, to interface to 24V DC or 48V DC from contact closures. Eight normally open or change over contacts that can handle upto 100 volts of 0.2amps (NO) or 28 volts a 0.2amps(C/O). Eight relay output channels.
